Andrej Karpaty, a Canadian artificial intelligence researcher born in Slovakia and one of the founders of OpenAI, said in a post on X that he is leaving the company, which became one of the biggest players last year with its chatbot ChatGPT in the hottest field of artificial intelligence.
Hello everyone, yes, I left OpenAI yesterday. First of all, nothing “happened” and this is not the result of any specific event, issue or drama (but please keep the conspiracy theories going as they are very interesting :)). In fact, being at OpenAI over the last year has been really wonderful – the team is really strong, the people are great and the roadmap is exciting and I think we all have something to look forward to.
