At the Baikonur Cosmodrome, specialists from Roscosmos enterprises assembled the Soyuz-2.1b rocket. with the Earth remote sensing spacecraft «Resurs-P» No. 4. The removal and installation of the rocket at the launch complex, according to the decision of the state commission, will take place on March 29. Launch of the launch vehicle «Soyuz-2.1b» with the spacecraft «Resurs-P» No. 4 is scheduled for March 31, at 12:36 Moscow time. 

Spacecraft «Resurs-P» No. 4 is designed for highly detailed, wide-spectrum and hyperspectral optical-electronic observation of the Earth's surface. Observation is performed to study natural resources, control environmental pollution, search for mineral deposits, assess the state of ice conditions, monitor emergency situations, and also to create and update topographic and navigation maps.

Sputnik «Resurs-P» will allow you to take pictures of the Earth with a resolution of 70 cm. Previously, we wrote that in 2024 the «Resurs-P» apparatus will be launched. No. 4, and in 2025 — the next such satellite, «Resurs-P» No. 5. Then these satellites will be replaced by modernized spacecraft «Resurs-PM» with a shooting resolution of already 40 cm.
