Xiaomi told how much the owner of the car will have to spend on its maintenance for three years
After the premiere of its first electric sedan, Xiaomi SU7, the company released three bulletins in China, in which it explained various aspects regarding the car. In particular, the company talked about maintenance costs, and they look simply meager.
So, in the first year it will take… 480 yuan (just over 65 dollars). The cost of maintenance in the second and third years, respectively, — 750 and 1400 yuan (105 and 195 dollars). The total for three years is only 365 dollars or 34 thousand rubles at the current exchange rate. Here, however, one point should be noted: Xiaomi equates one year of operation to 20 thousand kilometers. So at higher mileage the cost of servicing may be higher.
Xiaomi also explained that the warranty is not tied to the owner (in China, many automakers entice with a lifetime warranty on the car, but it is only valid for the first owner), but is given to the car itself. So if Xiaomi SU7 is resold before the expiration of the warranty period, then the new owner, if necessary, will be able to apply for warranty to the official service.
