14 years from affordable smartphone maker to automotive sensation
6 April Xiaomi celebrates its birthday — Today the company turns 14 years old. Another festival for fans is timed to coincide with this event: the company has prepared new products at a reduced price, and has reduced prices on a number of services and devices.
For example, Xiaomi offers to repair a broken smartphone screen or replace a laptop battery with a 20% discount, carry out «deep cleaning» laptop, washing machine or air conditioner with a 50% discount.
From today until April 17, prices for some versions of Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Redmi K70 and Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 have been reduced. For example, the latter has fallen in price by $320.
For its 14th birthday, Xiaomi retrained itself as a car manufacturer, and did it with great success: Xiaomi SU7 became a real sensation in China. The queue for a car has already stretched for a year and a half, and there are huge queues for test drives. The company was even reproached for the fact that the seats of test cars very quickly lose their presentation. To which Xiaomi replied that every day 10 thousand people come to stores interested in Xiaomi SU7. Test drives take place almost non-stop, and the seats are simply not designed for such intense load and wear.
