The upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console could significantly improve game graphics thanks to a massive RAM upgrade.

According to the latest leaks, the console will be equipped with 12 GB of LPDDR5X memory, which will provide better texture quality than the Xbox Series S.

The experts at Digital Foundry analyzed this information and concluded that this amount of RAM would allow for a significant visual upgrade over the current Nintendo console. Moreover, the team claims that NS2 will match and perhaps even exceed the capabilities of the Xbox Series S.

It is also claimed that higher memory bandwidth will enable the use of NVIDIA DLSS technology to scale images to “reasonable” resolutions.

Recall that the specifications of Nintendo Switch 2 have not yet been officially confirmed. But judging by the latest reports, the new console will offer much more than just portable games.
