Wi-Fi 7 specifications will be adopted in a few months

This will happen by the end of the first quarter of 2024

Despite the fact that there are already products on the market that support Wi-Fi 7, the Wi-Fi Alliance has not yet officially approved the specifications of this standard. But according to new data, this will happen at the beginning of next year.

Specifications will be completed at the end of the next quarter. Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) will offer speeds of up to 40 Gbps, using three bands: 2.40 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz, using a channel width of 320 MHz and 4096-QAM.

For ordinary users, the finalization of the standard does not actually matter, but for corporate clients it is very important. It is worth recalling that the new Intel Meteor Lake processors, which will be presented in two days, will support Wi-Fi 7.
