We won't see a cheaper version of the foldable Galaxy Z Fold6. Samsung has changed its mind about releasing such a smartphone this year

It should have been even thinner than the more expensive version

Samsung is reportedly reconsidering its plans to release an affordable version of its Fold smartphone this fall.

There have already been reports that Samsung plans to release an entry-level Galaxy Z Fold6 model this year in addition to the basic Galaxy Z Flip6 and Z Fold6. Now it is expected that this year, as before, the Korean giant will release only two models.

Lack of product differentiation factors and uncertainty in the industry are cited as reasons for changing plans.

Interestingly, the cheaper Fold6, which could be called Fold6 FE, should have been thinner than the more expensive main model in order to compete with the latest devices from Chinese companies in this regard. The main Fold6 should also be thinner than its predecessor, but will be inferior to competitors in this parameter.
