The plant will start in August
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov announced plans to switch the entire country to electric cars, noting that Kyrgyzstanis will have the opportunity to exchange their cars for new electric cars.
Together with a Chinese company, a car plant is being built that will produce up to 80 thousand electric vehicles every year, and its launch is scheduled for August 2024.
«When the plant starts operating, we will collect all the old cars that pollute the air and lease electric cars to their owners for 10-15 years. There are plans to switch all of Kyrgyzstan to electric vehicles. The project will start at the end of this year or at the beginning of next», — Japarov said.
The plant is being built with the participation of the Chinese company China Hubei Zhuoyue Group. The volume of investments at the first stage will be 115 million dollars.
