In 2024, the developers released a patch that removes it. In the comments, the authors of Deep Rock Galactic stated that they consider it inappropriate and do not want to remind some players of the tragic events in their lives when they just want to relax while playing a video game.
However, they do not rule out that this line will return if a new filter option is introduced:
“Perhaps we will add a filter for voice lines in the options if enough people want it.”
