Instead of three camera applications there will now be one
On May 17, the official premiere of the new Sony flagship is expected — Xperia 1 VI smartphone, but MSpoweruser has already published key details.
Sony Xperia 1 VI will once again receive an updated camera with three modules. Basically, a wide-angle lens with an EGF of 24 mm will be prescribed, in an additional — lens with EGF 16 mm. Finally, the third module will be responsible for optical zoom with the ability to smoothly change the focal length within 85-170 mm. That is, the maximum zoom will be 7x, if we take into account the main camera module.
The camera application will change, more precisely, instead of three applications — Photography Pro, Videography Pro and Cinema Pro — there will be one similar to the interface of Sony Alpha cameras.
Sony Xperia 1 VI will lose its proprietary 4K screen with an aspect ratio of 21: 9; instead, it will install an OLED panel with an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9. It is promised an increase in brightness by 1.5 times and dynamic adjustment of the frame rate in range from 1 to 120 Hz. The readability of the display in the sun will improve.
The hardware platform will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The battery capacity will not change (5000 mAh), but the autonomy will improve and will reach two days. The device will support wireless charging. Sony Xperia 1 VI will retain the standard headphone jack.
