There is only a week left until the end of 2023, so there are no special surprises in the list of best-selling projects. Gamers continue to buy games that were released earlier.

Game sales in Japan (12/11 – 12/17):

  1. [NS] Super Mario Bros. Wonder – 94,682 (total: 1,327,663)
  2. [NS] Momotaro Dentetsu World: Chikyuu wa Kibou de Mawatteru! – 62,617 (total: 603,061)
  3. [NS] Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince – 35,161 (total: 433,442)
  4. < li>[NS] Pikmin 4 – 34,876 (total: 1,040,438)

  5. [NS] Super Mario RPG – 17,355 (total: 414,191)< /li>
  6. [NS] Minecraft – 16,983 (total: 3,355,750)
  7. [NS] WarioWare: Move It – 16,584 (total: 104,407)
  8. [NS] Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 16,405 (total: 5,585,146)
  9. [NS] Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 14,724 (total: 5,362,270)
  10. [NS] Pokemon Scarlet/Violet + The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero – 13,516 (total: 41,222)

The top ten is traditionally dominated by games for the Nintendo Switch, which hardly surprises anyone. Super Mario Bros. Wonder rarely loses first place to other releases after its release, and this is unlikely to happen until a truly significant product appears.
