MG 5 already in showrooms
The British car brand MG, which is now owned by the Chinese corporation SAIC Motor, is entering the Russian car market.
Company «Mir-Distributor» has become the official distributor of MG in Russia and is already selling the MG 5 sedan in its showrooms. It is planned to launch sales of 10 new models by the end of 2024. The process of obtaining OTTS certificates for other models is underway.
The MG 5 sedan is equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine producing 114 hp. «World-Distributor» states that due to its reliability and classic design with sporty elements, it is popular with both private and corporate clients.
The plans also include the release of three other models: the MG 6 liftback, as well as the MG HS and MG ZS crossovers. It is expected that they will be available for sale before the end of the first half of this year.
To ensure sales and service of MG cars in Russia «Mir-Distributor» created a dealer network of more than 30 centers in 18 cities of the country. In addition, a spare parts supply system has been established, including a central warehouse in Moscow and two warehouses in the Ural Federal District. It is planned to open five more spare parts warehouses in Russia. In the future «World-Distributor» intends to annually sell more than 20 thousand MG cars in Russia.
