Diablo 4 is set to release on Xbox Game Pass on Thursday, March 28th. But before submitting to the Sanction, PC gamers need to take a few important steps because simply downloading the game through the Xbox app on PC is not enough.

Microsoft has published a step-by-step guide to help you prepare for Diablo 4's arrival on Game Pass. Surprisingly, there were more steps than expected, especially for those unfamiliar with the process.

First of all, PC gamers need to make sure they have an active Game Pass subscription linked to a Microsoft account. After that, you should go to the Xbox app on PC and go to Diablo 4, where there will be an install button.

The next step is to install Battle.net, Blizzard's digital distribution platform, which is required to access Diablo 4. If the player has Battle.net installed, you can skip this step and move on to the next one.

When you launch Battle.net, you will be prompted to link your Battle.net account to your Microsoft account. This step is necessary to synchronize game progress and smooth access to online functions. To connect, players can log in with an existing Battle.net account or create a new one.
