Renault announced prices for the Kardian model and opened orders in Brazil, where the price ranges from 22.8 to 26.8 thousand dollars.
The world premiere of the new Renault Kardian model took place in Brazil last year. This compact five-door car is positioned as a new urban SUV in segment B. In fact, it is a modified cross-hatch Dacia Sandero Stepway of the third generation. It was originally planned that it would appear on the Russian market under the name Sandero Stepway, but the project was cancelled.
The new model is built on a new modular platform, presumably the upgraded CMF-B. Externally, Kardian differs from the new Sandero in the front and rear. The length of the car is 4119 mm, which is 20 mm longer than the European version of the Sandero Stepway. The wheelbase remains the same – 2604 mm.
In Brazil, the Renault Kardian is only available with a 1.0 TCe turbocharged three-cylinder engine, which runs on both gasoline and ethanol. Power is 125 hp. with a torque of 220 Nm. The engine works with a six-speed robotic gearbox. Front-wheel drive only.
The model is available in three trim levels: Evolution, Techno and Premier Edition. Basic equipment includes 16-inch wheels, LED headlights, roof rails, 7-inch screen in the dashboard, multimedia system with 8-inch touch screen, climate control, parking sensors, rear view camera, ESP, cruise control and start-stop function. The Techno version adds 17-inch wheels, an electronic handbrake, an armrest with a box between the front seats, a remote engine start function and an automatic braking system. The top version of the Kardian Premier Edition additionally includes diode fog lights, front parking sensors, a fin antenna, wireless charging for a smartphone, adaptive cruise control, all-round cameras and a blind monitoring system. zone
