Such CPUs will be released at the end of the year
In the photo below you can see the Intel Lunar Lake-MX processor as part of the reference platform. This is one of the highest quality close-up photos of the upcoming Intel CPU.
You can see not only two memory chips, which will be a distinctive feature of the new line, but also the division of the main chip into three chiplets, or tiles, as Intel itself calls them.
Let us remember that we are talking about a chiplet with processor cores, an iGPU chiplet and an SoC chiplet. What is important, according to leaks, in the Lunar Lake generation both the iGPU and the processor chiplet will be produced at TSMC facilities using the 3 nm process technology, and the very new Intel 18A process technology, on which the company is betting heavily, will apparently be used only for the production of the SoC chiplet .
But once upon a time, Intel made such strange processors with AMD iGPUs and HBM memory. Topton N9 NAS motherboard with eight RJ45 is based on Core i7-8705G CPU
The processor in the photo has a 2833BGA design and dimensions of 27.5 × 27 mm. According to all data currently available, Lunar Lake in its maximum configuration will have four large cores, four small cores, 12 MB of L3 cache and a Battlemage generation iGPU with eight Xe cores.
Lunar Lake is expected at the end of this year and will replace the currently relevant Meteor Lake.
