1.5 years before the first manned flight to it

The training complex of the future Russian Orbital Station (ROS) for training cosmonauts should be built and launched in 2027. The chief designer of simulators for the Russian segment of the ISS, Vladimir Khripunov, spoke about this at a lecture at Novosibirsk State University (NSU). That is, the training complex for ROS will begin work 1.5 years before the first manned flight to the new Russian station.

According to Khripunov, the training complex will include several modules of the ROS station, each of them will have an operator’s workplace, and the rest will be a system for collective use that can work on each module separately or on the entire training complex. In addition, from July of this year, installation of a complex simulator for a new generation transport ship will begin, which will fly to the Russian orbital station; it should be commissioned by mid-2025.
