AvtoVAZ is working on a prototype of a hybrid car — about this at the conference «Avtonet» said AvtoVAZ representative Alexander Vinogradov. According to him, the company believes that hybrids have more prospects than pure electric vehicles.

The most interesting — AvtoVAZ's first hybrid will have all-wheel drive! The wheels of the front axle will be driven by a conventional internal combustion engine, and the rear axle will be driven by an electric motor. It is unknown whether such a hybrid will turn into a production model, but such technology would be suitable for a crossover based on the Lada Vesta.
