Jetour JMK Traveler will be released in April
The hardcore SUV Jetour JMK Traveler has been included in the latest catalog of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The new car is based on the current Traveler and is expected to be unveiled on January 28, with deliveries beginning in April.
The car differs from the regular Traveler with a raised engine hood, a new grille and front bumper design, a roof rack and all-terrain tires that have better traction. Jetour JMK Traveler has an approach angle of 24°, a departure angle of 28°, a curb weight of 1934 kg, dimensions 4782 x 2036 x 1960 mm, wheelbase 2800 mm. For reference: Jetour Traveler offers a body with dimensions of 4785 x 2006 x 1880 mm with the same wheelbase.
The car is equipped with a 2.0T engine model SQRF4J20 manufactured by Chery with a maximum power of 187 kW (254 hp), coupled with a 7-speed DCT transmission and a fully automatic intelligent all-wheel drive system XWD. All-wheel drive mode can automatically switch depending on road conditions and provide automatic torque distribution to the rear wheels.
The Jetour Traveler sold 13,224 units in December 2023, up 22% from the previous months. Since its launch on September 26, 2023, the Jetour Traveler's cumulative sales have reached 33,312 units, making it the fastest-selling SUV to reach the 10,000 and 20,000 unit mark in China.
