They sell cars that you can’t not only touch, but even see
The excitement for Solaris cars in Russia first-hand: dealers surveyed by Autonews reported that the demand for cars is simply huge. One example: from the first batch of 30 cars, only nine remained in the dealer’s warehouse. But sales have just started.
«Cars are simply swept away, we literally do not have time to put the model in the hall before the client immediately takes it away. Judge for yourself, the first batch has arrived to us — 30 cars. There are currently only nine left in stock. And here we are not talking about taxi companies, car sharing or official procurement, all buyers — private owners», — said the dealer manager.
You can be guaranteed to get a Hyundai only if you book a car (of course, no one will show you a real car, because there is simply none in the showroom) for 5 thousand rubles. But, interestingly, booking does not guarantee the same price! If the dealer subsequently asks you to pay extra, there’s no getting around it. And the amount of additional payment is not regulated: it can be at least 500 thousand rubles, at least a million.
«There is a line for each car — at least two people. So here I can only advise you to wait for the next batch and make a reservation for the model right now. The cars should arrive in about a month. By the way, there will also be more affordable options with a 1.6-liter engine. Estimated price — 2,970,000 rubles», — said a salesman in another salon.
A similar story in the third salon. «The cars have just arrived to us, and they are already being quickly dismantled. This is understandable, not everyone is ready to switch to the Chinese even now, and Solaris is one of the few worthwhile alternatives. Therefore, I advise you to make a reserve so as not to miss this opportunity», — the manager said.
According to him, the cars have arrived at the dealer, but they are not being put on display because they are filling out the documentation. But this does not prevent us from accepting reservations for cars, although you can’t even touch them, you can’t even see them.
Prices from sellers vary greatly, and we already know why. Here are examples: one dealer has a Solaris HC (that is, a Hyundai Creta) with a 1.6-liter engine and an automatic transmission «in stock» for 2.89 million rubles, another is ready to deliver the car in a month for 2.97 million rubles. The third one had only a Creta with a 2.0-liter engine for 3.2 million rubles.
By the way, an interesting fact: if Solaris HC and Solaris HS cars are delivered to dealers with Hyundai nameplates taped over, then Solaris KRS (Kia Rio sedan) and Solaris KRX (Kia Rio X-Line) cars are delivered&hellip ; no badges on the body at all — Kia emblems are only on the wheel hubs and steering wheel.
