There is no room for Exynos 2400. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 foldable smartphones will be based only on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

Due to better energy efficiency

This year, the Exynos 2400 single-chip system turned out to be noticeably more successful compared to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 than previous generations of Samsung’s top platforms. Despite this, the company will reportedly not use its platform in the new Galaxy Z foldable smartphones.

The Fold6 and Flip6 will only rely on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, like the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Only the reason here is not in status, but in energy efficiency. According to this indicator, the Samsung platform loses to the Qualcomm solution. In foldable smartphones, where there are problems with accommodating large batteries and/or screens consume more power due to their size and quantity, energy efficiency is more important than in regular smartphones.

In addition, it is more difficult to implement better cooling in foldable models, so heating the SoC is also very important. However, it is worth remembering that previous generations of Samsung folding smartphones have also always relied only on Snapdragon platforms.
