There are already more than 1.2 million drones in China, and the growth rate of their number is enormous

The number of drones in China is growing at a tremendous pace. Now there are already more of them in the country than residents in many world capitals. 

At the end of 2023, 1.26 million drones were registered in China, which is 32% more than a year ago. In total, all these drones flew more than 23 million hours per year. 

In response to the impressive growth of drones, China has established 17 civil unmanned aircraft test zones and three test bases covering cities, islands and other applications. These initiatives are aimed at developing drone technologies and applications.
