From 700 dollars
MSI has fully presented its first portable gaming console — Claw. Let us remind you that the console stands out among others for its platform — Intel Core Ultra.
More precisely, it could be based on Core Ultra 5 135H or Core Ultra 7 155H. The first offers 14 processor cores, and the second has 16, but the main thing is that both have a top-end iGPU with 8 Xe cores, so you can safely take the younger version. By the way, it’s worth saying that on the slides during the Core Ultra announcement for the Core Ultra 5 135H, Intel indicated 7 Xe cores, but now the company’s website lists 8 cores. Apparently, it was decided to strengthen the CPU after the announcement.
Coming back to the MSI console, it also offers 16 GB of RAM, a 512 GB or 1 TB SSD and a 7-inch 120 Hz Full HD screen with up to 500 cd/m2 brightness and VRR support. Among the rest, we can highlight Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, a fingerprint scanner, a battery with a capacity of 53 Wh, the presence of Thunderbolt 4, that is, the ability to connect an external video card, and a weight of 675 g. In general, the set-top box offers more capacious battery than many competitors, more modern wireless interfaces. The price is surprisingly quite competitive: $700 for the junior version. For the older one they are asking $800, but judging by the parameters, the overpayment is not worth it.
The new product will be available for sale during the current half of the year.
