The full production cycle of the joint Russian-Belarusian aircraft will be organized at Belarusian enterprises, as stated by the head of the planning and industry department of the State Military-Industrial Committee (Goskomvoenprom) of Belarus Dmitry Stefanovich.

«The project is called "Osvey". A new aircraft, development is starting from scratch, he said on the TV channel Belarus-1. — The full production cycle will be organized at enterprises of the Republic of Belarus».

The development of the aircraft will be carried out at the enterprises of the State Committee for Military Industry and Russia: «The organization of production has already begun, the purchase of the necessary equipment and the construction of the corresponding workshops are underway».

At the beginning of the year, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Pyotr Parkhomchik announced that, as part of the agreements with Russia on the joint creation of a twin-engine 19-seater aircraft, two such aircraft are planned to be produced in the republic by 2026. By 2030, it is planned to assemble 85-100 new aircraft at Belarusian facilities.

Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov said that the Russian-Belarusian aircraft will be in commercial operation from 2028, and its certification is planned to be completed in 2027.
