RTX 40 gaining momentum
Valve has published the latest hardware statistics for the Steam service. As always, we're most interested in graphics cards, and there have been noticeable changes here, as we predicted last month.
So, the leader remains the GeForce RTX 3060, whose share, however, fell by an impressive 1.21 percentage points, to 5.71%. But the RTX 2060, which was in second place last month, dropped straight to fourth, while the GTX 1650 rose to second, and the RTX 3060 Ti — to the third. However, only the GTX 1650 increased its share in the top five.
Cards occupying places from third to seventh are in a very dense group with a difference of tenths or sometimes hundredths of a percent, so further changes in the ranking are quite likely.
It is also worth noting the RTX 4060 Laptop, which increased its share by a considerable 0.5 percentage points, to 2.88%. Now this card comes right after the RTX 3060 Laptop, that is, after its predecessor. In addition, this is the most popular RTX 40 video card on Steam so far.
The desktop RTX 4060 is slightly lower, occupying 2.41%. Over the month, its share dropped slightly, but in the context of half a year, the share of this card doubled.
