Red Wings Airlines today, February 2, begins operating passenger flights on restored Tu-214 aircraft. The other day the first plane arrived from Kazan, as we already reported.

«The Russian airline Red Wings launches passenger flights on the Tu-214. The first flight of the aircraft will take place on February 2 from Zhukovsky Airport in Sochi, and starting next week it will begin an international flight program from Domodedovo to Yerevan, Batumi, and later to Tel Aviv», —&nbsp ;stated by the airline.

Recently, Tu-214s have been operated only by the special flight squad «Russia», which serves mainly government delegations.

Red Wings was the first to be able to carry regular passengers today. The basis of the Red Wings flight fleet is made up of domestic SuperJet 100 aircraft with a cabin configuration of 98-100 seats. Thus, the appearance of Ty-214 on the route allows us to almost double the volume of passenger transportation in a particular direction.

This year, Red Wings expects to receive one Tu-204 aircraft, which it used until 2018. The board is currently undergoing modernization.
