The new BYD Seal 07 DM-i has been introduced, which replaces the current Seal DM-i and uses the fifth generation DM-i system from BYD. Thanks to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), we received detailed information about the machine.
Dimensions are 4980 x 1890 x 1495 mm with a wheelbase of 2900 mm. The car is built on a 1.5-liter BYD472QC engine with a power of 74 kW and a torque of 126 Nm. Claimed thermal efficiency is 46.06%, fuel consumption is 2.9 l/100 km and range is 2100 km.
Three versions have been approved for release. The lightest version weighs 1795 kg, the other two — 1900 and 1960 kg respectively. The TZ210XYC electric motor powers two lighter versions and has a maximum power of 160 kW. There is also a Seal 07 DM-i version, which uses a more powerful TZ210XYD electric motor with up to 200 kW.
Buyers will be able to purchase a car with 17, 18 or 19-inch wheels. The maximum speed of the version with a 160 kW motor is 185 km/h, and the 200 kW motor can reach a speed of 200 km/h.
Some versions will get an opening panoramic roof and that there are some differences in the design of the front grille. Additionally, the icon options show both Seal and Seal 07.
