Dongfeng M-Hero 917 was the best overall, but 18 models became winners in various categories
As reported by «Chinese Cars», China Central Television held the fourth «Automobile Festival», within the framework of which they determined the best cars in different categories and named the best Chinese car in the absolute . It became the «Chinese Hummer» Dongfeng M-Hero 917 — and the first batch of such cars (official) has already arrived in Russia.
This is how we chose the best cars. First, we compiled a basic list, which included 600 models. Then the competition jury determined a shortlist of 32 models, and after test drives and testing at the proving ground, the 18 best cars were selected. Reportedly, the panel of judges was formed by representatives of the CATARC research center, Chinese associations of automobile manufacturers and auto dealers, and the Society of Automotive Engineers.
In China, the Dongfeng M-Hero 917 is offered in both conventional and hybrid versions. The same options will exist in Russia. The power of the hybrid is 816 hp, the electric car — 1088 hp Dimensions of the «Chinese Hummer» — 5066 × 2080 × 1934 mm with a wheelbase of 2950 mm.

- best minivan: GAC E9;
- most powerful car: Audi e-tron GT;
- best-handling: Audi A7L;

- best cars for safety: Volkswagen Tharu and Volkswagen ID. 7 Vizzion;
- best design: Hyundai ix35 and Hongqi H6;
- best SUV: Tank 400 Hi4-T.
