The MrBeast channel was launched in 2021
Bollywood music label T-Series was the YouTube channel with the most subscribers for several years after Felix Kjellberg aka PewDiePie lost out to it in 2019. Now the leader of YouTube has changed again – the first place was taken by the MrBeast channel, owned by blogger Jimmy Donaldson.
As noted by Donaldson, on June 2, 2024, MrBeast overtook T-Series to become the YouTube channel with the most subscribers – more than 270 million.
According to Wikipedia, MrBeast is considered a pioneer of the genre of YouTube videos dedicated to filming expensive stunts. His most popular video was the real-life version of the Netflix TV show The Squid Game. The channel receives extensive sponsorship, including from Samsung starting in 2023.
