And instead of the variator, a reinforced manual transmission was installed

Moscow DK Racing, which creates circuit sports prototypes reminiscent of British Caterhams, presented a new version of the Shortcut — Shortcut RS. Its peculiarity lies in the engine: the RS version is equipped with a VAZ 1.8 EVO engine. The same thing that is under the hood of the Lada Vesta with a CVT. Only if on the Lada Vesta this engine produces 122 hp, then DK Racing specialists removed all 190 hp from it

An electronic control unit was installed on the engine «Corvette» with a logger, and that’s all that can be said about the modifications, although the amount of modifications was clearly decent. The engine is combined with a reinforced 5-speed manual transmission.

In terms of power, the Shortcut RS with a 1.8 EVO engine is not much different from the R version based on a 1.6-liter engine (the difference is only 5 hp), but the difference in price is quite noticeable : the new model costs 3.2 million rubles versus 2.6 million rubles for the Shortcut R.
