Overall leader – RTX 3060
The Steam service has published the latest statistics on user equipment for December 2023.
As always, we are primarily interested in video cards. No big changes here. The leader remains the RTX 3060 even without taking into account the mobile version. The card is installed on 5.29% of all Steam users and gained 0.25 percentage points over the month.
In second place with a share of 4.69% is the GTX 1650, but taking into account the mobile version, and in third — GTX 1060 (3.87%) also taking into account the mobile version.
Of the latest adapters, the RTX 4060 Laptop performs best with a share of 2.03%. Let us remember that the mobile RTX 4060 came out much earlier than the desktop one. It is followed by the desktop RTX 4070 with a share of 1.58% and an increase of 0.34 p.p. As for the desktop RTX 4060, which may someday become the most popular among Steam gamers in the future, it currently has only 1.07% and an increase of 0.24 p.p.
It is very important to clarify information about Windows versions, since, let us remind you, since yesterday Steam has been running on PCs with Windows 7 and 8 in limited mode without updates.
But in December, the share of Windows 7 was only 0.77%, and Windows 8 — 0.16%. That is, even in total this is less than 1% of all Steam users. Windows 10 is still in the lead with a share of 55.44%, and Windows 11 now has 43.51%.
