Production has been postponed to 2025

AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov confirmed the postponement of the start of mass production of the Lada Iskra at the plant in Tolyatti.

“Another new model is the Lada Iskra. The start of its production is planned for the very beginning of 2025 and it will be the most widespread, most affordable Russian passenger car on a high-tech platform,” he said at an event at the Russia exhibition.

It is worth noting that AvtoVAZ previously confirmed that the Lada Iskra will go into mass production at the end of 2024, and the start of sales is scheduled for the beginning of 2025.

AvtoVAZ has four factories in Togliatti, Izhevsk and St. Petersburg. In mid-May last year, Renault transferred its share in AvtoVAZ (67.69%) to the state ownership of the Russian Federation. AvtoVAZ currently produces Vesta, Granta and Niva. Largus production will restart at the beginning of next year.
