The most affordable new car on the Russian market at the beginning of 2024 is the Lada Granta, as stated in the new material from Izvestia.
The publication's interlocutor, retired traffic police major Viktor Kondrashin, noted that this is practically the only choice in the budget segment, which occupies a huge part of the market. This is a car of average comfort with a minimum number of functions, but at an affordable price of 700 thousand rubles.
«The main advantage of this model — availability of spare parts and the ability to service it in any city. But after the Chinese crossovers, Granta may not seem so comfortable, — added by Victor Kondrashin.
Evgeniy Zhitnukhin, head of the dealership department of the Fresh automobile marketplace, believes that compact cars with low fuel consumption, including the Korean Daewoo Matiz or Kia Picanto, are more suitable for use in urban environments.
But for off-roading, SUVs such as the Chinese Haval Dargo or the French Renault Duster are better suited.
