Acceptance tests have begun
At the Vyksa plant «Drobmash» Acceptance tests of the transport packaging set for the Russian-Turkish nuclear power plant «Akkuyu» have started.
The commission included representatives of Akkuyu, the Turkish supervisory authority, the Russian specialized organization for technical supervision, the designer and supplier.
The equipment is designed for transportation and storage of spent nuclear fuel from VVER-1200 reactors. It is the TUK-137T.A1 that will be used at the Akkuyu NPP. in the Republic of Turkey. This is the first copy of this model supplied abroad. It was developed by our partners and contains a number of technical solutions that have not been used anywhere before.

«Drobmash» mastered the production of various models of TUK for research reactors, PWR and VVER reactors back in 2017.
Earlier, the head of the Turkish Ministry of Energy Alparslan Bayraktar told when it is planned to launch the first reactor of the Russian-Turkish nuclear power plant Akkuyu.
Recall that Akkuyu NPP is being created by the Russian state corporation Rosatom. This is the first nuclear power plant in Turkey and the largest nuclear construction project in the world at the moment. The project includes four power units with Russian-designed VVER generation III+ reactors. The capacity of each nuclear power plant unit will be 1.2 thousand MW. This is the world's first nuclear power plant implemented using the Build-Own-Operate model.
