The car was created specifically for China
The joint venture SAIC GM introduced the Chevrolet Equinox Plus crossover to the Chinese market: the public premiere of the car took place at the Beijing Auto Show. Externally, the Chinese Equinox Plus repeated the previously presented American model, but the main innovation is hidden inside: for the first time in history (and the car has been in production for 20 years), the Chevrolet Equinox has become a hybrid. And not ordinary, but connected.
In China, the Equinox Plus is offered in four trim levels at prices ranging from 20.7 to 24.9 thousand dollars. The power plant is represented by a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 179 hp. and one electric motor. Power reserve — more than 1000 km (according to the CLTC method).
The basic models of the line have a traction battery with a capacity of 16.5 kW·h and a cruising range on pure electricity of 102 km, the top version Activ— traction battery with a capacity of 24.4 kW·h and an electric range of 155 km. Accordingly, consumption in hybrid operating mode — 1.2 and 0.75 l/100 km. Fuel tank volume — 46 liters (the engine is designed to run on AI-92 gasoline). Dimensions of the crossover — 4653 x 1902 x 1714 mm.
The trunk volume is 648 liters. If you fold the rear seats, the volume increases to 1619 liters.
Equipped — dashboard with 11-inch screen, media system with 11.3-inch diagonal screen (both — with 2K resolution), voice assistant, dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, panoramic roof with sunroof. Infotainment is based on SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155.
