Tesla Model Y was the best-selling car model in the world in the first, second and third quarters of 2023. 328,000 Model Y deliveries in the quarter. As cleantechnica writes, Tesla Model Y became the best-selling car model in the world at the end of the year.
According to Tesla analyst Troy Teslike, the Toyota Corolla will likely produce about 1,080,000 units this year, while Model Y sales will be about 1,220,000. That is, an increase of 140,000 units or 13% more.
«The Model Y is expected to become the world's best-selling car this year, with more than 1.2 million units sold. Unfortunately, this hasn't been reported much in the media since Tesla doesn't release sales figures for the Model Y. Tesla Model Y sells so well partly because Tesla offers few models. Only the Model 3 and Model Y are mass market models, while the Model S and Model X — more expensive high-end options.
