Improved the media system and all-wheel drive
The Tank brand today officially presented the updated hybrid Tank 500 on the home market in China. The vehicle received a new power plant that provides more power and reduced consumption.
In Russia, the hybrid Tank 500 is called Tank 500 Urban, while in China both hybrids (old and new) are called Tank 500 Hi4-T. To avoid confusion, the automaker has stopped accepting orders for the previous version as of today. And the new one was valued at 335 thousand yuan — 46.5 thousand dollars. Interestingly, the latest Tank 300 with a 3.0-liter V6 engine (aka Tank 330) costs about the same in China.
The power plant is based on a 2.0-liter E20NB turbo engine operating on the economical Miller cycle. Maximum power — 252 hp Engine Features — increased thermal efficiency to 39.2%, variable displacement oil pump, direct injection directly into the cylinders and an exhaust manifold integrated into the cylinder head.
The internal combustion engine is combined with a 9-speed automatic transmission, the power of the entire system — 408 hp The capacity of the traction battery has not changed and remains 37.1 kW·h, the range on pure electricity— 110 km. The average consumption of the new system is now lower — 8.8 l/100 km versus 9.55 l/100 km previously.
The new Tank 500 Hi4-T is still equipped with a BorgWarner clutch, which provides all-wheel drive, but now it is talking about a “new generation EMOD all-wheel drive system.” Judging by the description, the sixth generation clutch has not been changed, but has been modified: the new system responds faster and distributes torque more accurately.
Third innovation — new version (1.4) of the software platform of the infotainment complex with support for the Huawei HiCar interface, DLNA, desktop wallpaper, etc.
