The updated console has become better in many ways
Valve launched open sales of its newest portable gaming console, Steam Deck OLED, in mid-November. The new product even became a bestseller on the digital distribution platform Steam, overtaking Counter-Strike 2 in popularity. Meanwhile, in Russia, large retailers began offering pre-orders for Steam Deck OLED as part of parallel imports.
For example, the DNS team announced the start of accepting pre-orders for Steam Deck OLED in two variations:
- Steam Deck OLED with 512 GB – 89,999 rubles;
- Steam Deck OLED with 1 TB – 99,999 rubles.
For comparison, in the USA it is available from $550 (48,806 rubles). The start of open sales is scheduled for December 14, 2023.
Steam Deck OLED received an improved and larger screen (OLED, 7.4 inches), a larger battery and increased battery life (50 Wh, from 3 to 12 hours), faster Wi-Fi 6E, improved speakers, an enlarged radiator of the cooling system, a weight reduction of 30 grams, and so on.
