The KAMAZ electric bus with night charging was tested in St. Petersburg

The test operation of the KAMAZ-6282 ONC electric bus was completed in St. Petersburg. It began operating on city routes at the end of February this year. During this time, the electric bus traveled a total of 2.5 thousand km and transported over 10.6 thousand people. In St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise «PassengerAvtotrans» calculated that the consumption was 2.18 kW/km.

Based on the results of operation, the carrier highly appreciated the interior and exterior of the electric bus, its comfort, the ergonomics of the driver’s workplace and visibility, as well as handling, acceleration and braking dynamics. Reliability also turned out to be excellent: during the entire test run period, the electric bus was never removed from the route.

«KAMAZ-6282 ONC« — This is a domestic electric bus with an increased capacity of the traction battery, which is 499 kW⋅h. Its range on a single charge is 250 km, thanks to which the electric bus does not need to be charged during the day and is charged only at night in the park. Passenger capacity «KAMAZ-6282 ONC» — up to 85 people, and there are 35 seats.
