Previously, such equipment was supplied to Russia by Siemens
Russian power engineering company «Power Machines» completed the production of the first serial high-power gas turbine GTE-170 complete with a generator and waste heat boiler; it was ordered for the Nizhnekamsk Thermal Power Plant. «Power machines» announced the development of their own technology for manufacturing gas turbines with a capacity of 65 and 170 megawatts back in 2018, but their production became especially relevant after Siemens left the Russian market last spring.
According to the production schedule, in 2024 «Power Machines» two more gas turbines will be handed over to customers in 2025 — six turbines, and in 2026 — eight turbines. From 2027, the company intends to supply 10 gas turbines per year with the prospect of further increase. The company will also provide their maintenance, production and supply of spare parts. Earlier it was reported that contracts had already been concluded for four gas turbines for the Kashirskaya State District Power Plant «Inter RAO» and four more — for objects of «RusHydro» in the Far East.
