AI will do everything itself
It seems that in the near future several new generation smartphones will appear on the market, which will be entirely based on artificial intelligence.
Deutsche Telekom is preparing to present its phone at MWC 2024, which for now is simply called the T Phone. This device will stand out because it will not have applications in the usual sense. Instead, there will be AI that will perform the user’s tasks itself, using third-party services, platforms, and so on. That is, if the user needs to book a hotel room and call a taxi, the AI will do it itself, and the owner will not even know what services and platforms were involved. It is known that the project is being created with the support of Qualcomm and Brain.ai. There are no other details yet.
Recall that in January we already saw such a product — Rabbit R1. It is also devoid of familiar applications and relies entirely on AI.
It’s hard to say how much users will like this idea. Firstly, it is not yet clear how exactly all this will be implemented in practice, what advantages it will provide and what limitations it will have. And secondly, for many users such a product will not be suitable simply because it automatically means giving up all the usual instant messengers, social networks, and so on.
