The Elektro-L and Meteor-M satellites photographed the Balkan vortex “Gori” that hit central Russia

Gusts of wind up to 23 m/s, thunderstorms and precipitation are expected

The central part of Russia was captured by the cyclone «Gori», Russian remote sensing spacecraft «Electro-L» were able to photograph it from space. and «Meteor-M». The photo was published in the official telegram channel of Roscosmos.

Roscosmos commented on the pictures:

A strong storm hit Central Russia — Balkan whirlwind «Gori» From April 18, a «yellow» weather danger level. Almost a month's worth of precipitation is expected. 

According to the Moscow Meteorological Bureau, strong winds with gusts of 18–23 m/s are expected until 21 o’clock in Moscow within the Moscow Ring Road and TiNAO and in the Moscow region.
