In the meantime, it is undergoing ground tests

The first test flight of the fully import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft with domestic PD-8 engines should take place next year. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov. At the same time, literally yesterday we wrote that the SJ-100 with PD-8 engines is already in the final stage of ground tests, and flight tests will follow. Frequency tests are currently underway — collection of vibration data for all elements of the liner's structure.

Anton Alikhanov also commented on the shift in delivery dates for domestic aircraft. According to him, certification requires a lot of time, testing, and there cannot be «any indulgences, accelerations or exceptions», because «these rules are often  written in blood». According to the minister, despite the postponement of the deadlines, the total number of Russian aircraft planned for production by 2030 will not change.
