Clearance is 197 mm
The official premiere of the fourth generation Citroen C3 took place. Already in the third generation, the car was more of a crossover than a hatchback, and now we can state a complete transition to the crossover class. Firstly, the body shape is like a typical crossover, and secondly — ground clearance: it increased from 175 to 197 mm. Although, alas, there is no all-wheel drive.
The new Citroen C3 has a three-cylinder 1.2-liter engine producing 102 hp. and a 6-speed manual transmission. The Hybrid 100 version has the same engine, but with a 48-volt add-on that adds 12 hp. — this powertrain is borrowed from the Jeep Avenger Hybrid. Citroen says the car runs 50% of city trips on pure electricity.
The basic version is designed rather ascetically. For example, instead of a media system with a 10.25-inch screen — just a holder for a smartphone. In the top version — climate control, wireless smartphone charging, active driver assistance systems.
The length of the fourth generation Citroen C3 is 4015 mm. The car has increased not only in ground clearance, but also in trunk volume — for 10 liters up to 310 liters. It’s interesting that the car already has a Citroen Advanced Comfort suspension with hydraulic supports that better dampen bumps.
If the previous generation car was sold in France for 16.59 thousand euros, then the new Citroen C3 is more affordable — from 14.99 thousand euros. The electric Citroen e-C3 costs from 23.3 thousand euros, but in 2025 a more affordable version is promised for 19.99 thousand euros.
