The prototype performed taxiing and jogging at the beginning of the week
As reported by «Vzlyot», in Russia at the airfield of the Lukhovitsky Aviation Plant named after. P.A. Voronin (part of the UAC) began testing a prototype of the new Il-114-300 aircraft: at the beginning of the week it performed taxiing and jogging. The first flight should take place soon.
The first prototype of the Il-114-300, equipped with TV7-117ST-01 engines, entered flight tests in December 2020. Since the spring of 2021, despite problems with the prototype power plant, it began to fly intensively under the test program, but from the second half of August 2021, after the crash of the prototype Il-112V aircraft, which used a similar type of engine (in the TV7-117ST version), flight tests of the Il-114-300 were suspended and have not yet resumed. The transfer of the second experimental Il-114-300 (No. 0110) for flight testing, initially announced for the fall of 2020, was also postponed — the first new-built aircraft, which has been assembled since 2020 at the Lukhovitsky Aviation Plant.
