BMW has expanded the engine range of the Mini Countryman crossover — The car received a hybrid power plant based on a 2.0-liter diesel engine. Despite the fact that it is only «soft» hybrid, consumption still looks impressive — 4.6 l/100 km combined cycle.

The engine develops 163 hp, the system is supplemented by a 48-volt starter-generator. The crossover accelerates to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds. The crossover has not changed either inside or outside. For the diesel hybrid, rims with a diameter of 17 to 21 inches are available. The price of the new item has not yet been announced.
