According to the author, Stardew Valley v.16 will be much larger than originally expected. The game will feature a new large festival, two smaller festivals, new items, recipes, dialogue, new winter outfits for residents, more spacious storage, eight-player co-op on PC, more end-game content, and hats for cats and dogs.

Baron thanked all Stardew Valley players for their support over the past eight years and reported that the game has sold more than 30 million copies during this time.
