The first samples are ready
The first samples of new truck models have been successfully assembled at KamAZ, as reported by the magazine «Behind the Wheel».
In January of this year, KamAZ for the first time lost its leadership in truck sales on the Russian market to Chinese Sitrak trucks. The KamAZ plant understands that the key to competitiveness lies in the development of new models, such as the K5 family, which faced sanctions obstacles, but is now returning to the market using new components, including Chinese and Russian parts.
As part of the strategy of gradually increasing production, it is planned to increase the rate of operation of the main conveyor. In February of this year, they intend to reach production of 200 cars per day, and by the fourth quarter it is planned to increase to 220 cars per day. This requires a serious reorganization of production, emphasizes the director of the KamAZ automobile plant, Anton Saraikin.
According to the plant director, the first models of the new family of trucks have already been assembled in response to customer requests. Among them, the main role is played by the KAMAZ-54901 truck tractor, which will soon be joined by three more models: KAMAZ-6595, KAMAZ-65952 and KAMAZ-65951.
The company is committed to continuously increasing production to meet market expectations and demands, and plans to increase production capacity to achieve future goals.
