Visitors to the event could taste sweets that featured the face of the director of the company's gaming division
In September it became known that Jim Ryan was leaving his post as CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment. The company could not ignore such a major event by throwing a whole party on this occasion. One of the PlayStation employees shared photos from the event:
Sony gave Ryan a unique PlayStation 5, stylized as the original PlayStation (even the box and USB plug were designed in the style of the first PS), and also treated partygoers to sweets with the face of the head of SIE on them.
Jim Ryan has worked at Sony for almost 30 years, and he has held his current position as head of PlayStation since April 2019. Rain will leave his post in March 2024.
