Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra may be the only 2024 flagship with 10x optical zoom
Korean source The Elec has published the camera specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and in one way they differ from previous leaks. If earlier it was said that the smartphone will have telephoto lenses with 3- and 5x optical zoom, now modules with 5- and 10x optical zoom are reported.
It should be noted that none of the already presented flagships on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 have 10x optical zoom. And even the future Oppo Find X7 Pro, which will have two periscope modules in its camera, will have a maximum optical zoom of 6x. This is good news for those who are planning to buy the Galaxy S24 Ultra or are simply looking at the upcoming new product.
As for sensor resolution, the module with 10x zoom will use a 10-megapixel sensor. The module with 5x zoom will have a new 50-megapixel sensor, while the main module with a wide-angle lens will have a 200-megapixel sensor. But the module with an ultra-wide-angle lens will have a sensor with a resolution of only 12 megapixels, although many flagship manufacturers use 50-megapixel sensors in the ultra-wide-angle camera.
As for the screen of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, then, according to insider Ahmed Qwaider, its brightness will be 2600 cd/sq.m (previously it was said about the brightness of 2500 cd/sq.m). And that's more than the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
