Serial production of waterbuses will be launched in Russia in 2028

This is a very promising direction

The Volgabas company plans to launch production of so-called waterbuses in the coming years. The general director of the group of companies, Alexey Bakulin, told reporters about this.

At the industrial and energy forum “PromEnergoVolga 2023” in Volgograd, Bakulin said:

We believe there is great promise in this direction. We understand that we do not yet have a completely Russian localized product, but the time is not far off when Russian power plants will appear. I think that in 3-4 years we will have fairly good serial production of waterbuses on several pilot routes in the country.

According to Bakulin, water buses will allow the company to enter suburban and intercity routes.

Volgabas is the third largest manufacturer of large-class passenger buses in Russia after GAZ and KamAZ.
